• Authentication Data: User email address and mobile phone number collected during sign-up for dual OTP identity verification.
• Precise Location Data (GPS): Real-time precise latitude, longitude, and timestamp coordinates accessed during active field visit check-ins to verify official visits and render interactive Google Maps routes.
• Camera and Media Files: Photos captured during school inspections or field visits to attach visual evidence to daily logs and PDF inspection reports.
• Generated Documents: Inspection summaries and PDF report files saved locally to your device storage.
• Device Identifiers & Technical Data: Operating system version, device model, network state, and app performance logs for error monitoring and security auditing.

2. Android Permissions Requested

To provide core application functionality, Daily Diary explicitly requests the following runtime Android permissions:

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: For precise GPS location tagging of field visits.
• CAMERA: To capture geotagged inspection evidence photos.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES & WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To read selected media and save generated A4 PDF reports.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS & VIBRATE: To dispatch daily inspection schedule reminders and verification OTP alerts.

3. How We Use Collected Information

The collected information is used strictly for legitimate business and operational purposes:

• Authenticating user access securely via Dual OTP verification.
• Recording official location-verified field visits for audit trails.
• Generating downloadable Devanagari and English A4 PDF inspection reports.
• Displaying supervisor dashboard analytics and team field progress on live Google Maps.
• Preventing fraudulent check-ins and ensuring data integrity.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell, lease, or rent your personal data to third-party marketers. We share minimal necessary data only with trusted infrastructure providers:

• Firebase Authentication & Cloud Services: For SMS OTP authentication and cloud data persistence.
• Google Maps SDK: For rendering map tiles and route progress visuals.
• Google Mobile Ads / AdMob SDK: For serving non-intrusive in-app advertisements.
• Hostinger Nodemailer Email Service: For sending official email OTP login codes.

5. Data Security and Retention Policy

We implement robust physical, administrative, and technical safeguards:

• Encryption in Transit: All data exchanged between the app and our dedicated VPS backend servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3/SSL protocols.
• Encryption at Rest: Database records are encrypted using AES-256 standards.
• Retention: Inspection logs and user profiles are retained for the active duration of your account subscription. Diagnostic server logs are automatically purged after 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Daily Diary is intended for use by adults, field officers, and inspectors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we immediately delete such records from our servers.
